Art 426 Head Caricature

Heres my attempt at making a self portrait of myself. i managed to shape most of my head and even molded a garment for myself. I couldn't add eyes, hair, or a hat because maya wouldn't update my scene at all.

ART427 ASSIGNMENT 01 INDEPENDENT 3D ARTIST ANIMATOR/STUDIO PRESENTATION

The animator that I did my research on was Rodrigo Huerta otherwise known as “El Cid”. He’s an independent animator based in California and is known for his animation shorts on his YouTube channel. His website is http://stingingfoam.com. This page includes links to his entire social media site as well as his YouTube site where most of his work is showcased. (http://www.youtube.com/user/elcid1984/feature)

He went to Baylor University where he earned his bachelors in science for computer science and engineering. Afterwards he earned his masters is science, computer visualization in Texas A&M University. He didn’t learn any animation until he went on animationmentor.com. From there he worked many studio jobs until he landed a job in DreamWorks animation studio. There he worked on Shrek the Third, Puss in Boots, and Kung Fu Panda 2. He then left DreamWorks to start his own animation studio. He started uploading his videos in addition to working with other well-known internet animators. Over the years his channel has had over 160,000 subscribers as well as more than 1,000,000 views in some of his videos.
